Join Professional Mediators of Alaska as a Professional Member, Affiliate Member, or Student Member.

A. Professional Member - $ 200 annually

Professional Membership Benefits:  Website profile in online mediator directory; Invitations to professional networking events; Access to professional mediator listserv; Conference and CLE discounts for PMAK sponsored events.

To be eligible for membership at the professional level, you must self-certify that you:

1. Have completed an initial 40-hour course in mediation.
   

2. Agree to complete 5 additional hours of mediation-specific training in the next year.

3. Conduct a minimum of 6 mediations per year (to include settlement conferences).

4. Agree to abide by the Model Standards of Conduct for Mediators, endorsed by the American Arbitration Association, the American Bar Association, and the Association for Conflict Resolution.

5. Currently carry professional liability insurance for my work as a mediator.

6. Agree to hold harmless and indemnify Professional Mediators of Alaska from any claim or cause of action arising out of my work as a mediator. 
   

B. Associate Member - $100 annually

Associate Membership Benefits:  Invitations to professional networking events; Access to professional mediator listserv; Conference and CLE discounts for PMAK sponsored events.

C. Student Member - $ 25 annually (discount membership for full-time students; proof of status is established by a student email address)

Student Membership Benefits:  Invitations to professional networking events; Access to professional mediator listserve; Conference and CLE discounts for PMAK sponsored events.
